The Washington Sentinel - 1930

The Washington Sentinel was an African American newspaper published in Washington, D.C., by the Hamilton Printing Company, founded by brothers West A. and Percival Y. Hamilton. Serving the capital's Black community in the early 20th century, the paper reported on civil rights, politics, education, business, and community affairs while advancing the Black press tradition of advocacy, representation, and racial uplift.
