Description
Church of God founder, Elder Lightfoot Solomon Michaux, and Mrs. Mary Eliza Pauline Michaux, celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary in 1956. *Elder Michaux was often referred to as the "Happy Am I Preacher" for his catchy theme song. The church that he founded is still active, and is located at 2030 Georgia Avenue, NW, across from the Howard University Hospital.
