The Nashville Globe was founded in 1906. The newspaper ran for more than 50 years. For the first 20 years, it was a prominent newspaper in Tennessee and stopped publication in 1960. Dr. Richard H. Boyd financed the newspaper and founded the National Baptist Publishing Board. Dr. Boyd was a businessman, religious organizer and so much more. His legacy lives on through the National Baptist Publishing Board, now known as the R.H. Boyd Publishing Corporation.
