THE IAH VIDEO TAPE COLLECTION
Created in 1974, the IAH Media Documentation Unit is a part of the Institute for the Arts and the Humanities designed to develop, in cooperation with other units of the Institute and Howard University, an integrated program for video and audio-visual recording of significant artistic and social events that relate to the life and culture of black people.
By 1979, the Media Unit had recorded more than 175 video programs for a total of more than 400 hours of programming which is listed in this catalogue. These programs were produced on 1/2 inch reel-to-reel video tape.
All IAH video-taped programs are copyrighted, (s) 1979, by the Institute for the Arts and the Humanities, Howard University.
