The Personalities Collection is comprised of photographs, newspaper clippings, and other related materials that document the imagery of Black people globally throughout time. This collection is presently 28 boxes in size and evens out to about 44 cubic feet worth of material. This collection was created through the combination and addition of small donations and gift bestowed upon the institution over the decades. Due to the nature of this collection, further additions will be made to the collection as we continue to receive small-scale photographic gifts or donations of individuals. This immense collection has been organized in alphabetical order by the person's last name and Series have been split to align with this arrangement. Today, this collection holds over 9,500 images, spanning over 3,500 individuals.
