Abstract
Dr. Walter Rodney (1942-1980) was a Pan-Africanist scholar and activist whose life and work spanned the globe. Rodney published several works on Africa and the Africa diaspora including his most famous work entitled, How Europe Underdeveloped Africa. The Walter Rodney collection contains articles, programs, tributes and some correspondence related to Rodney. The collection also contains numerous audio and video recordings of lectures that Dr. Rodney conducted at Howard University and a symposium about his work after his death. The collection consists of about 1 cubic foot of material and spans the 1970s-1980s. The collection was donated by Ethelbert Miller.
