Abstract
Inclusive Dates: 1970 - 1974 Extent: 7 Cubic Feet Description: The Sixth Pan-African Congress convened at the University of Dar es Salaam in Tanzania and was hosted by the Tanganyika African National Union, June 3-13, 1974. The congress was an international forum poised to address the problems facing African people. The Sixth Pan-African Congress Records document individuals who attended the conference, as well as a record of those who were invited but did not attend. Also included is correspondence from each of the districts involved, as well as financial and fundraising records, press material, position papers, committee files, and newsclippings.
