Notes: Liberian physician. Compiled by Augusta H. Clawson from papers of her father and from her own inquiries into the life of Lewis. Includes letters from Lewis to Frank Clawson and a biographical sketch of Lewis. Also contains academic records and programs from Lincoln University, pamphlets pertaining to Storer College, photographs, and samples of the Bassa language alphabet which Lewis devised. Gift, 1958.
