Abstract
Individual evaluation of 5,578 periapical radiographs made by seventy-two dental students revealed 47 per cent technical errors when the students applied the bisecting-angle technique with a Snap-A-Ray film holder. Evaluation of 1,112 bitewing radiographs showed 48 per cent technical errors. When interpolated for a full-mouth survey, the average number of errors was 7.8 per full-mouth examination. © 1971.
