Description

Health officials at Howard University met the recent virus epidemic head-on by setting up a preventive vaccine project on the campus. Shots of polyvalent influenzas vaccine were made available to students, teachers, and other employees to prevent the spread of the disease. Here, Dr. Dorothy B. Ferebee, director of the University Health Service (long white coat) supervises the administration of the vaccine by seniors in Howard's College of Medicine and internes at Freedmen's Hospital.
