Description
Bremen, Germany, February 1951: Bremen's School Reform Law, most progressive in the US Zone of Germany, was passed by the Bremen Senate in April 1949. The new law provided for 12 years of compulsory education (including 6 years elementary school), free textbooks and tuition.
