The New Orleans Daily Creole was a 19th-century daily newspaper published in New Orleans, Louisiana, starting in June 1856 by J.M. Weymouth & Co.. Known also simply as the Daily Creole, it appeared every day except Sunday and served as part of the city’s vibrant press landscape before the Civil War. Issues from the paper, preserved and digitized by the Library of Congress, offer a window into local news, notices, and the life of New Orleans during that era.
