Warren V. Holden, 18 year old New York City lad who lost five brothers when the U.S.S. Arizona was sunk by the Japanese bombs during the Pearl Harbor attack last December, gains first hand knowledge of a five inch gun he hopes to help men following his period of recruit training as an apprentice seaman here at Camp Robert Smalls, home of the Negro Regiment at the U.S. Naval Training Station. Giving him advice is Lieutenant (jg) Calvin Miller, outgoing unit officer.
