Published weekly out of Nashville, Tennessee, The National Baptist Voice was a Baptist-centered newspaper that chronicled the full spectrum of denominational life. Its coverage ranged from disputes and developments among reverends to reports on churches and services nationwide, as well as updates on upcoming and recently concluded conventions. Backed and published by the National Baptist Convention of America, the paper served as an official channel of communication for the denomination. Under the editorship of J.D. Crenshaw, it provided readers with insight into both the spiritual and organizational dimensions of Black Baptist life.
