The papers of social worker, social science researcher, and Y.W.C.A. administrator, Myra Colson Callis, span the years 1830-1978 and measure approximately 23 linear feet. Biographical material is found in the series, Personal Papers, as well as within the collection's voluminous correspondence. Material relating to Ms. Callis's professional career is found within the Organizational Affiliations, Writings, and Correspondence series. Her research and writings examine issues such as women, work, and industry. Her work with the Y.W.C.A. is documented through correspondence, organizational affiliations, and photographs. Also of note in Organizational Affiliations is the transcript of her 1948 trial before the Federal Security Agency Loyalty Board.
