About Continuum Journal

Continuum: The peer reviewed Journal of African Diaspora Drama, Theatre and Performance is a service of the BlackTheatre Network dedicated to fostering scholarship on the past, present and future of African diaspora performing arts. The inaugural issue was published in June 2014 under the leadership of the founding managing editor Freda Scott Giles

Since 2014 Continuum has made a significant contribution to scholarly and educational discourse by publishing over 50 scholarly articles and book/performance reviews. All articles undergo a two level peer review process.

Articles are written in accessible language for a general audience of theatre practitioners, scholars and educators.

Open Access

Continuum: The Journal of African Diaspora Drama, Theatre and Performance offers free access of its contents to its readers.

Processing Charges

Continuum Journal does not have any article submission processing charges.

Submissions

Continuum Journal accepts articles, book reviews and performance reviews for publication. Articles generally run from 6250 to 6500 words. All articles and reviews have a two step peer review process.
