Documents include personal and professional correspondence, photographs and photo albums, plaques and certificates. Also included are travel journals, speeches, and printed material. Notable organizations Burke Washington worked with and maintained files on include the National Association of Commission for Women, New York State Women's Meeting, New York Urban League, Departmet of Housing and Urban Development in New York, and the Democratic National Convention.
