Family and personal papers, correspondence, speeches and writings by Caliver and others, teaching materials, background material and notes from surveys on Afro-American education conducted by Caliver at the US Office of Education, radio programs produced by the US Office of Education, materials relating to Caliver's publication The National Educational Outlook Among Negroes, documents concerning organizations with which Caliver was affiliated, and photographs. Includes documents relating to the Adult Education Association, the National Association of Collegiate Deans and Registrars, the National Conference on Fundamental Problems in the Education of Negroes (directed by Caliver in 1934), and the Tennessee Colored Anti-Tuberculosis Society.
